Baseball
Practices continued indoors with the hopes that the weather would turn around to allow for outdoor workouts and drills.
“The station baseball team has been working out daily. Now progressing from drill hall to drill hall, the team expects to go outdoors as soon as weather permits. The candidates show great prospects for an “A-1″ team.”
It was obvious to observers that the Sampson team was going to be special for the 1944 season.
