Bleacher ticket to the seventh and final game in the Servicemen’s World Series played on Oahu .

Scheduled as a best-of-seven series, the Navy had already swept the Army, winning four straight. With over-capacity crowds of GIs attending each game, military leadership made the decision to continue the series despite the Navy’s dominance. After winning every game, the contest returned to Furlong Field for third time in the series with the Army trailing four games to none (see Wartime Baseball on Paper: Servicemen’s World Series Programs and Scorecards).
